Warwick Bass Day, in the Music Hall

Exhibitions, workshops and concerts, all with the bass guitar as protagonist, on the 10th of September

Bass players have often been the subject of jokes and taunts that have transcended the world of music lovers. The truth is, however, that they are an essential element of the majority of bands in virtually all music genres. As a reminder of this, Tuesday the 10th of September has been designated Warwick Bass Day in the Music Hall venue.

From 10.30 am to 6 pm, with a pause for lunch, visitors may enjoy an exhibition of Warwick bass guitars, their corresponding amplifiers, merchandising and, above all, the presence of five very well-known bass players who will be offering workshops (a fee will be charged and places are limited). The bassists in question are Stuart Zender, Carles Benavent, Jonas Hellborg, Steve Bailey and Lee Sklar, the final three of which, in conjunction with drummer Chester Thompson, make up the band JOSTLE, who will be performing later that evening. Tickets must be bought beforehand and are now on sale.

Warwick is a German manufacturer founded in 1982 and specialising in bass guitars. Among the distinguished musicians who have used their basses on many an occasion we can highlight Prince, Bootsy Collins, Krist Novoselic (Nirvana) and Adam Clayton (U2).
