September brings fifteen local festivals

Annual festival. September s is one of the months if the year with the most local festivals. Nearly all city districts have a local festival in some neighbourhood or other this month!

With August behind us, the city fills will local festivals. September is one of the months with the most festivals. Fifteen city neighbourhoods will be holding their main annual celebrations this month, with festivals in nearly all districts. It’s also time for La Mercè, the city’s local festival.

Here are the neighbourhood festivals being held this month:

  • La Font del Mont (Sarrià – Sant Gervasi). From 30 August to 1 September.
  • La Bordeta (Sants-Montjuïc). From 4 to 8 September
  • Mas Guimbau i Can Castellví (Sarrià – Sant Gervasi). From 6 to 8 September
  • Vallcarca (Gràcia). From 5 to 8 September
  • La Salut (Gràcia). From 6 to 11 September
  • Poblenou (Sant Martí) From 6 to 15 September
  • Horta (Horta-Guinardó). From 6 to 15 September
  • Vallvidrera (Sarrià – Sant Gervasi). From 6 to 15 September
  • El Farró (Sarrià – Sant Gervasi). From 10 to 16 September
  • Mas Sauró (Sarrià – Sant Gervasi). From 13 to 14 September
  • Plus Ultra (Sants-Montjuïc). From 13 to 15 September
  • Els Indians (Sant Andreu). From 21 to 29 September
  • Verdum (Nou Barris). From 25 to 29 September
  • La Mercè (Les Corts).
  • Montbau (Horta-Guinardó). From 27 September to 6 October
  • La Barceloneta (Ciutat Vella).
  • L’Esquerra de l’Eixample (Eixample).
