Eduardo Rojo, president of the CESB, appointed member of the Scientific Committee of the II Congrés Català del Treball
Eduardo Rojo, President of the Economic and Social Council of Barcelona, has been appointed member of the Scientific Committee of the 2nd Catalan Labour Congress. The Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya has approved the creation of this Committee as a collegiate body of technical and scientific advice to define the lines of debate of the Congress of Deputies in the field of labour relations and employment.
The Committee’s objectives are to provide technical advice on labour relations and employment, to propose lines of debate and thematic axes on the subject, and to collaborate with relevant speakers to guarantee academic rigour.
The Committee is made up of 8 members out of a maximum of 10, a chair and a secretary, in charge of Lluís Tutusaus. The members are academics or professionals of recognized prestige, with proven experience, appointed by the Sectorial Secretary for Employment. Thus, in addition to Rojo, Sara Berbel, Adrián Todolí, Karina Gibert, Eloi Serrano, Ferran Camas, Anna Ginès and Cristina Pardo were appointed.
Eduardo Rojo Torrecilla, considered an academic reference in labour and social security law in Spain, has taught at the University of Barcelona, the University of Girona and is currently an honorary professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where he was Professor of Labour and Social Security Law. His career combines teaching, research, dissemination and institutional participation. In his numerous publications, papers and lectures, he has addressed issues such as employment policies, labour reform, immigration and the labour market and labour rights, among others.
