The Department of Labor, Social Affairs and Families of the Generalitat de Catalunya has designed a call for subsidies for the promotion and creation of new employment in the field of home care work for elderly and dependent people. The subsidy consists of a single payment to people who offer an employment contract for a minimum of 12 months to people who have not been registered with Social Security in the last 2 years. People who will offer a contract may be beneficiaries of this help because they need to receive care and home care or another person from the same coexistence unit.
The line of subsidies has a budget of 2.3 million euros and it is estimated that a total of 900 working people could work.
Submitting applications
The deadline for requesting aid is expected to open from July 15 and for a maximum of 20 days. As it is a non-competitive call for applications, requests will be attended strictly according to the chronological order of presentation. That is why we recommend that, once the call has been published, applications are submitted as soon as possible
Amount of the benefit
The amount of the subsidy is 2,685 euros if the contract is full-time.
This amount corresponds to the cost of the Social Security fee to be paid by the contractor for 12 months.
Requirements
From the beneficiary of the help you want to hire:
- To be over 18 years old.
- Be registered and legally reside in a municipality of Catalonia.
- Be up to date with tax obligations and, where appropriate, obligations with Social Security.
- Have a gross annual income of the family unit between lower and upper thresholds that depend on the number of members of the family unit.
From the working person that you want to hire:
- You must not have been registered with Social Security for two years, from the date of signing the contract.
- If they do not have Spanish nationality or that of a member state of the European Union, they must meet specific requirements to be able to contract them:
- In the event that they have a legal residence that does not authorize them to work, foreign persons must request the corresponding modification or initial work authorization.
- In the event that they do not have legal residence, people must meet the requirements established by state regulations to access social roots:
- Three years of stay in Spain, which must be accredited by registering.
- Having no criminal record in Spain or in the country of origin.
- Have the INF02 rooting report issued by the Generalitat of Catalonia or be able to prove first-degree kinship with a person of legal age who is Spanish or a foreign resident.
