L’espai MUHBA Bon Pastor vol donar a conèixer la història de l’habitatge a Barcelona durant el segle xx mitjançant la museïtzació d’una illa de les cases barates d’aquest barri obrer, un dels quatre polígons d’habitatges construïts a la ciutat el 1929. La disposició de les cases unifamiliars en filera, directament abocades al carrer, és l’element més característic, que propicià les relacions entre els veïns i una activitat social i política pròpies.

L’illa està formada per setze cases, de les quals se’n museïtzaran vuit: quatre mostraran la lluita per l’habitatge a la ciutat i les altres quatre, com es vivia al barri del Bon Pastor i l’evolució dels interiors de les cases barates entre 1929 i 2017.

El procés de creació de l’espai ha estat possible per la complicitat establerta entre el museu, la gent del barri i altres agents socials que treballen diàriament sobre el terreny. I s’ha convertit en una oportunitat única d’explicar la ciutat des de la perifèria.
