Nuevo chat de apoyo emocional gratuito para jóvenes

Salud. Está operativo las 24 horas del día, todos los días del año.

Desde este mes de julio los adolescentes y jóvenes de la ciudad disponen de un chat para poder hablar sobre el padecimiento y malestar emocional de manera confidencial e inmediata. Este nuevo servicio, atendido por una cuarentena de orientadores y orientadoras formados por especialistas de la salud mental, es gratuito y está operativo las 24 horas del día, todos los días del año.

El nuevo chat de apoyo emocional funciona a través de la aplicación de mensajería instantánea WhatsApp, en el teléfono 679 333 363. Se dirige especialmente a jóvenes de entre 14 y 25 años, la franja de edad que se considera más adecuada para esta herramienta y que, a veces, puede tener más resistencia a una atención telefónica o presencial.

Aparte de hablar del malestar y padecimiento psicológico, el objetivo es ofrecer una atención preventiva y orientar a la persona atendida hacia el servicio más adecuado de la red de recursos dirigidos a jóvenes que ya ofrece la ciudad, como pueden ser el Konsulta’m, el programa «Aquí t’escoltem» o la red de salud mental que gestiona la Generalitat de Catalunya.

El nuevo servicio se ha puesto en marcha en convenio con la Fundación Ajuda i Esperança, como el Teléfono del Suicidio, y se enmarca en el Plan de salud mental de Barcelona 2016-2022.
