Barcelona Crea Grants

The Barcelona Crea Grants were launched in 2020, promoted by the Barcelona Institute of Culture at the initiative of the Executive Committee of the Barcelona Culture Council, with the aim of supporting the city’s cultural, educational and scientific sectors during the pandemic.

The Culture Council Executive Committee appoints the members of the evaluation committee, which is responsible for proposing how the grants should be allocated in line with the regulations governing each call.

The Barcelona Crea Grants are intended to support artistic creation and to help maintain the city’s cultural and scientific momentum, with particular emphasis on the pre-production processes that underpin artistic projects (conceptualisation, development, research, experimentation, documentation, etc.).
