As every year, the Orfeó Català will be part of the city’s Christmas celebrations. One of the leading amateur choirs in the country, it was founded in 1891 by Lluïs Millet and Amadeu Vives to share the Catalan and universal choral repertoire with the utmost artistic excellence. At its public Christmas concert, the Orfeó will perform a selection of Catalan and international carols, once again with Barcelona Cathedral as the backdrop.
This free event (limited capacity) is a chance for members of the public to enjoy the music of the entire Orfeó Català family, a choir with over 130 years of history, conducted by Xavier Puig.
