Rules

  1. La Mercè 10K Bimbo Global Race will be held on 17 September and will start from Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina.

  2. The race is open to all citizens over the age of 18. Anyone over the age of 16 may participate with a signed authorisation from their parents or legal guardians, which must be handed in when picking up the race bib.

  3. The maximum participation will be 10,000 runners. Registration will close when this number is reached.

  4. The distance: 10 km. Certified by the FCA with official timing.

  5. The route is a one-lap circuit that is properly signposted and marked at each kilometre.

  6. There will be official sustainable refreshments at km 5 and the finish line. Refreshments will be served in cups.

  7. Checkroom service will be available.

  8. The time to complete the race will be 1h 45', depending on the starting time.

  9. The registration fee is 5 euros, which is a donation and support for the Associació in via (more information in La Mercè in Solidarity section). Registration will only be valid once payment has been made. In addition, as the main sponsor, Bimbo will provide 20 slices of bread per participant, which will be donated to the Barcelona Food Bank.

  10. The use of a chip is mandatory. Anyone who wants to participate and does not own a chip (yellow chip) must purchase a disposable chip at the price of 2 euros, VAT included (see conditions and promotions in the registration section).

  11. If a registered runner does not participate in the race, neither the donation nor the blank chip rental fee will be refunded.

  12. If the race is suspended due to health or safety reasons and/or force majeure, the 5-euro donation will still be given to the Associació in via.

  13. The organisers may change the route for reasons beyond its control and/or force majeure.

  14. The start is designed by boxes according to the accredited personal best at 10 km. Each box is identified with a colour. Only runners with a race bib or wristband in the same colour as each box will have access to them.

  15. The only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those expressly authorised by the organisers.

  16. The race bib and chip must be collected on the days and times established by the organisers. When registering, you must indicate the day and time you will collect them. You must also choose your t-shirt size, as sold-out sizes will no longer be available. No exchanges will be allowed (see registration section).

  17. Failure to collect the race bib and the runner's bag on the established days means that the runner waives the same and they will participate without a race bib (see section Collection of the race bib and chip).

  18. The race bib is mandatory to run the race and must be placed on the front of the t-shirt so that it is visible. This bib is personal and non-transferable. The organisers will disqualify any runner who participates with another person’s bib by nullifying their personal best.

  19. For security reasons, we recommend that you fill in the personal information on the back of the race bib. The telephone number provided must belong to a third-party contact person and not the participant.

  20. Runners are responsible for any damage they may cause to themselves or third parties. The organisers decline any responsibility in this regard.

  21. Participation is open to wheelchairs and track and field frames. Participation with equipment that does not correspond to this racing event, such as scooters, skates, bicycles, tricycles, hand bikes or electric wheelchairs, among others, is not allowed..

  22. Guides for the visually impaired must register by applying to the organisers. They will be registered in the general list with the corresponding bib and chip, but they will have to wear another guide bib provided by the organisers.

  23. Awards: There will be a trophy for the first five absolute male and female runners to cross the finish line. The award ceremony will take place upon the arrival of all winners.

  24. There will be prizes for the first three runners in the categories of wheelchair, visual impairment, intellectual disability and cerebral palsy, provided that a minimum of three runners participate. Wheelchair and visually impaired runners will start in front of their group. Whether the athlete has registered correctly within their category will be taken into account, so if they are not properly registered, they will not be entitled to the prize. Chairs, track frames or similar equipment must be fitted out for racing..

  25. The categories are exclusive, and the same person cannot win awards in two categories.

  26. Visually impaired athletes will start from the first or second box, depending on to the estimated time.

  27. The La Mercè 2K Bimbo Global Race will be heldas part of the 10K race. It will start at Calle Comte Borrell/Sepúlveda. People with intellectual disabilities or reduced mobility who are physically unable to run a distance of 10 km cannot participate.

  28. Participants explicitly allow their full name, sex and year of birth to be published in the list of registered participants, as well as in the list of results if they finish the race, following the established rules.

    Registration implies acceptance of these rules and the FCA fund race rules. The organisers will decide on any unforeseen incident that may arise.
