Culture. The cultural circuit is back from 4 October to 31 December, bringing quality shows to 21 local facilities.
Theatre, dance, music, circus and film all make up the sixth edition of this cultural circuit, from 4 October to 31 December. Functions will be free, with a programme that reaches all ten city districts.
The sixth edition of Barcelona Districte Cultural offers a broader programme this autumn: 23 live shows and 9 audio-visual experiences, with 150 functions around the city. The programme brings quality performances and activities to 21 local municipal facilities around the city’s ten districts.
This edition includes outstanding names from the Barcelona stage, such as José y sus Hermanas, Marta Buchaca, Les Antonietes and The Sey Sisters, as well as recognised shows from recent seasons, such as Kumulunimbu, L’Endrapasomnis and Laika. The programme for Barcelona Districte Cultural also backs work committed to current social issues such as gender violence and historical memory.
A new feature at this year’s circuit sees two shows, 5 històries diferents and Només una vegada, offering some performances with audio descriptions and simultaneous sign language to help people with diverse abilities engage with the culture on offer.
The programme of artistic performances will be complemented with activities such as functions for schools, workshops for artists, talks and discussions, to get the neighbourhoods more engaged in this festival of culture.
