The Disseny Hub Barcelona has brought together short-listed works and winners from the ADG Laus Awards for Graphic Design and Visual Communication, which recognise the best creations in the categories of graphic design, digital design, publicity, audio-visuals and students.

The exhibition ‘The Best Design of the Year’ returns to the Disseny Hub Barcelona with nearly five hundred works, representing quality and excellence in artistic creation, architecture and interior design, as well as graphic design, industrial design and fashion in the city. All the works on display were short-listed or winning works in the ADG Laus 2019, the annual awards by the FAD Art Directors and Graphic Designers’ Association.

The works recognised by the awards include four municipal projects:

• Bronze Laus Award for Outdoor Publicity for the ‘Compartim Barcelona’ campaign promoting consideration towards others and social harmony.
• Laus Branded Audio-visuals Award for ‘Play Act Dance’, part of the reputation campaign ‘Always Barcelona’, highlighting the city’s creative and musical talent.
• Laus Awards for Art Direction in Illustration and Entire Book for the reedited publication of Barcelones, by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, with illustrations by Carles Murillo and Pau Gasol.
• Laus Award for Experimental Typography for La Pionera, the space promoting innovative and creative initiatives.

Admission to ‘The Best Design of the Year’ is free. The exhibition is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10 am to 8 pm, up until 1 September.
