Physics Week retorns with a new edition at the Tibidabo amusement Park
The mountain will offer two days of science workshops and shows aimed at all ages.
On the weekend of September 12 and 13, coinciding with the start of the school year, the Tibidabo Amusement Park will celebrate a new edition of Physics Week. This is a set of activities aimed at a family audience that combine fun and the dissemination of science and that the site organizes jointly with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
On both Friday and Saturday, all those who visit Tibidabo will receive a passport that they can fill out while participating in the various educational proposals that will be distributed throughout the park. There will be workshops and shows for all ages throughout the day, from 11 am to 6 pm.
Programming for all ages
Among the activities organized, Astronomia stands out, a show to warm up the engines for the solar eclipse that can be seen on August 12; or the Autòmats workshop, inspired by the Tibidabo Automata Museum, where participants will make their own version of some of the park’s most emblematic automatons, such as Monyos.
As in previous editions, visitors will find QR codes at the entrances to various attractions that will allow them to enjoy videos where one of Tibidabo’s mascots, Bi, will explain how each attraction works and invite them to do experiments.
The Physics Week, which will also include activities in the fields of chemistry, mathematics and neuroscience, will feature the participation of retrofuturist characters from the Nautilus Retrofuturist Association, or the jazz band Moby Dixie, who will entertain the arrival of visitors.
Tibidabo, with the consolidation of initiatives like this, reaffirms its commitment to science, education and innovation.
