Eduardo Vaquerizo
Eduardo Vaquerizo, born in Madrid in 1967, is one of the most acclaimed authors of Spanish-language science fiction and fantasy, earning multiple honours, including several Ignotus Awards. An aeronautical engineer by training, he is best known for Danza de tinieblas [Dance of Darkness], which launched a dazzling alternate history in which the Spanish Empire survives into the twentieth century. He has also published numerous short stories in magazines and anthologies. His latest novel, Coramante, follows a protagonist in a rural world of forgotten knowledge who reconnects with lost technologies to restore the splendour of the ancient world.
