Elia Barceló

Elia Barceló, born in Elda in 1957, is a writer with a passion for fantasy and noir genres, though she has also shown a flair for psychological thrillers and historical fiction. She has published around a hundred short stories and more than thirty novels for both adults and young readers, and her work has been translated into 24 languages. Notable titles include El efecto Frankenstein [The Frankenstein Effect], winner of the National Youth Literature Prize, and The Goldsmith’s Secret, which was recently adapted for cinema. Her latest works include La vida secreta de los vampiros [The Secret Life of Vampires], featuring three previously unpublished stories illustrated by Nana Vaez, and Una mentira peligrosa [A Dangerous Lie].
