Elsa Velasco (they/she), born in Barcelona in 1993, is an illustrator specialising in science fiction, fantasy and horror. Their work, influenced by modernisme, draws on the sinuous forms and vivid colours of nature, as well as their lived experience as a queer, neurodivergent person. They have worked with publishers such as Penguin Random House, Chronos and Crononauta. Previously a journalist, they now also write fiction.
