"You learn more about a person from an hour of playing than from a hundred hours of conversation". This quote, which will seem surprising to many, is from Plato, and we have borrowed it from one of the guests' website because it's perfect for presenting a roundtable on narrative games. In other words, these are themed, role-play or detective games or any in which the rules of the game are mixed together with the art of storytelling or that require the techniques used by writers in order to play them. Such games can even come close to the realm of graphic adventure, making you feel like you're in a book but having to make decisions. What is the secret to your success? What qualifies as a narrative game, and what doesn't? Which ones can be considered to belong to the fantasy genre, and which ones should we play at least once in our lives? To find out, journalist Karen Madrid will chat to three great experts in such matters: the author of the webcomic El Sistema D13, Joan Tretze, who has created several role-playing games based on his works; the writer and co-creator of Tot Jugar, Martí Lucas, who has created many games from the Sherlock range; and the writer María Pérez, creator of the game Mythsgate and co-author of the card game Myths at War.

Taking part:

Martí Lucas, a screenwriter and film graduate, is the creator of Tot Jugar, a company that creates and facilitates games of ingenuity for both young and adult audiences. He is also the author of the Sherlock series of board games.

Joan Tretze is a comic book author, TV screenwriter and writer. He is the author of the webcomic El Sistema D13 and has created a universe based on a group of role-playing game players giving rise to works such as Armagedón, Dungeonautas and Rolerías.

María Pérez is a writer, financier and game creator. She collaborates with GDM Games, where she has expanded the card game Myths at War and created the game Mythsgate, on which she has also written a novel.

Moderated by:

Karen Madrid Ribas is a versatile journalist who has made a well respected name for herself in the world of fantasy thanks to her Ràdio Sabadell
