FEAR IN THE BODY (Oral storytelling with Inés Macpherson)
Where does terror live? What are women afraid of? How do women imagine horror? To explore these questions, we will take a journey through the body and the skin as spaces where fear either gnaws at us or invites us to attack, where horror makes its way through flesh and invites us to imagine a transformation, an escape, an end. A storytelling session in which women are the protagonists, as creators, and also as the focus of the fear they experience or provoke.
Inés Macpherson, perhaps the most active catalan writer and oral storyteller of today, will be in charge of explaining the texts chosen for this occasion. She has prepared a brand new session for Festival 42, with texts by Anna Maria Villalonga, Roser Cabré-Verdiell and other writers of unusual tales.
Inés Macpherson is a writer and a contributor to La Vanguardia and El Biblionauta. She is the author of the young adult novel El secret de Lucia Morke and has been featured in anthologies such asExtraordinàries and Paper Cremat. Since 2003 she has been involved in oral storytelling, specialising in literary stories and her own tales.
