2022 Edition: November 2 to 6
Ignasi Iglésias - Can Fabra Library
Segre, 24
Located in a 19th century building that once housed the Vapor del Rec, along with rather a lot of domestic and industrial pipework. Founded in 1935, the library was moved to Can Fabra in 2002, taking the name of the modernist playwright and poet Ignasi Iglésias.
It houses a collection of over 130,000 documents and a specialised comics section, as well as American Space, a service focusing on cultural exchange between Barcelona and the USA. In addition to the standard services, activities for all age groups are also organised.
At this first edition of Festival 42, there will be an exhibition dedicated to Stanislaw Lem (1921-2006) to mark the writer’s centenary, and some of the festival’s round tables and storytelling sessions are scheduled to take place in the Auditorium.
