Isabel del Río
Isabel del Río, born in Barcelona in 1983, holds a degree in philosophy from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and has worked in the book world since 2009. She recommends books and spreads the joy of speculative fiction as a bookseller, cultural agitator and contributor to publications such as Librújula. Her work spans novels, short stories and poetry. Recent titles include Mare [Mother], a blend of cosmic horror and science fiction that won the 10th Imperdible Awards and was shortlisted for the Ictineu Awards; La ausencia de todos los colores [The Absence of All Colours]; and No albiro el bosc [I Cannot See the Forest], which weaves together science fiction, folk horror and body horror.
