Laura Huerga

Laura Huerga (Barcelona, 1978) is the editor and founder of the Raig Verd publishing house and, since 2022, the Chair of PEN Català. She founded Raig Verd in 2012 with a narrative collection whose first book, by Gerbrand Bakker, won the Llibreter Prize, and where she has published works by authors such as Ali Smith and Jean Echenoz. She launched the Duna Llibres seal in 2022, together with the Mai Més publishing house, to publish essential science fiction and fantasy works in Catalan. Her many other initiatives include contributions to numerous media and publications. She also co-authored the essay ¡Tú, cállate! Sobre el derecho a la libertad de expresión y manifestación.
