Lucía Leandro Hernández, born in Cartago, Costa Rica, is a theory of literature and comparative literature lecturer and a PhD candidate in the literature programme at the University of Barcelona. She has worked as a professor of literature, researcher and bookseller. Her academic publications include the book El costat fosc de la lluna: una historiografia de la ciència-ficció escrita per dones a Costa Rica [The Dark Side of the Moon: A Historiography of Science Fiction Written by Women in Costa Rica].
