In various interviews, the author has himself recognised that there is a before and after in regard to Altered Carbon, the Netflix series of his Takeshi Kovacs trilogy of the same name. The second part, Broken Angels, has just been published in Spanish, soon after his now classic novel on neo-liberalism in the new millennium, Market Forces, was republished. Morgan is experiencing a second moment of glory, after Altered Carbon allowed him to become a full-time writer in 2002. In the last two decades, the British writer has forged a solid, versatile body of work, branching out to comics and computer games. The specialist on his career, Sara Martín, will be with him, to comment with her habitual analytical ability. If anyone would like to know how present-day science fiction is created and where Morgan's aggressive denouncements are directed, don't miss this event. An author like Morgan is always satisfying.

Taking part:

Richard Morgan is a renowned British science fiction author, with such popular books as Market Forces, Altered Carbon (with a new series on Netflix) and its sequel, Broken Angels. He has also written fantasy, comics and computer games.

Moderated by:

Sara Martín is an English Literature lecturer at the UAB, specialising in gender studies, which she applies to science fiction and Gothic. She has published books such as Monstruos al final del milenio [Monsters at the end of the Millennium] and Explorant Mecanoscrit del segon origen.
