This year marks the centenary of the birth of one of science fiction's most influential writers: Stanislaw Lem. We have therefore decided to pay tribute to this Polish writer not just by publicising his excellent and prolific work but also by providing a selection of some of the best titles in Soviet science fiction writing. If you drop by our bookshop, you will find books not only by established authors in this genre, such as Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, Alexander Bogdanov, Karel Čapek and Aleksey Tolstoy, but also by some of its pioneers, such as Alexander P. Ivanov, Vivian A. Itin or Valery Y. Bryusov. A journey through one of the most suggestive literary landscapes of the 19th and 20th centuries.
