V. L. Bovalino is the pen name of Pennsylvania native Tori Bovalino, a successful author of horror and fantasy. Her novels include My Throat an Open Grave, which explores folklore and guilt in a small American town. She holds a PhD in English and splits her time between the publishing world and academia. Bovalino is also the editor of the bestselling anthology The Gathering Dark. Her first novel to be translated into Spanish is the epic fantasy The Second Death of Locke.
