You may have been to many shows, but have you ever seen the birth of one? This is Factoria Grec's proposal, which allows members of the public to visit creators as they fine-tune one of the productions planned for this year.

The activity, which has already taken place in previous years but which in this edition of the festival will be held online, is organised by the theatre criticism platform Recomana.cat with the collaboration of Novaveu, a community of young prescribers (of between 18 and 30 years of age) promoted by Recomana. You will have the chance, among other things, to witness rehearsals of some of the plays planned for this year's Grec festival or chat to the people in charge. All the companies you will see have had a residency in a factory or creative venue in the city.
The activities are free and can be followed on Recomana’s Instagram Live. Keep checking because, from the day immediately before that of the activity and from the same Instagram account, the organisation will take questions from attendees and then, during the session, put them to the group of stage professionals involved in the activity.

The Mountain
Agrupación Señor Serrano
Would you like to see the most recent creation by the team who brought you Brickman Brando Bubble Boom, A House in Asia and Kingdom? You can taste a sample here. The activity focuses on the company’s staging. You will discover how they design each show and how, in spite of always starting with the same elements, they always produce a different result.

Life (de cómo los árboles nos salvaron la vida)
Lali Álvarez / Hui Basa
How do you change the world, or at least try to, with a play? Just ask Lali Álvarez and the company she works with. Although she was finally unable to premiere the stage project she was working on at Grec 2020, the whole thing is alive in her head. She can tell you about fiction and reality, about character creation, or about how to explain an obsession from one’s innermost self, among other things. You will discover an author and director, and a stage project, deeply committed to the environment.

Explore el jardín de los Cárpatos
José y sus Hermanas
Reinventing yourself. José y sus Hermanas is one of the shows that have had to abandon their original premises. They wanted to talk about excessive tourism but, now that we can’t travel, what can we talk about? They will talk about the image that helps sell a country. And about construction, about building one’s own language.

The female universe is the inspiration for the show that won the Institut del Teatre’s 2019 Dance Award, a show that explores the female psyche and body from flamenco. Are we talking about the dramatics of movement? How do the passion and viscerality of flamenco apply to such intimate concepts as menstruation? How do the sensations of the menstrual cycle translate into the various forms of music and movements in flamenco?

Circus. Time. Failure. What drives someone to join the circus in 2020? How can you make a place for yourself in that world and contribute to the legacy of previous generations? A group of young people who work in the circus tell us how shows in this industry are made and how to live in a world on the verge of collapse, in a show created right in the middle of the Covid-19 crisis. Do you have any questions about the circus of the future?
