Gérald Sibleyras / Paco Mir

Two piano players, four hands, a stool... The most relaxing settings can be the scene of the most ferocious - and amusing - storms... We are given to understand this by two outstanding comic actors and a director who specialises in smart, thought-provoking humour.

An idyllic landscape, a peaceful and relaxing setting amidst awesome mountains – what better place to prepare a concert tour of Japan? That, at least, is the opinion of Pau and Vladimir (Ricard Borràs and Pep Ferrer), the two main stars in this piece by the French playwright Gérald Sibleyras. Or perhaps the real star is the stool that both use for their piano concerts for four hands? For much of the story, in which the ghosts of a professional and personal relationship spanning twenty years come to light, revolves around this seat that the two share and which becomes tinier and tinier as time goes on. The peace and quiet do not help, either – quite the opposite – as the pair clash in dialogues packed with humour guaranteed to have audiences rolling in the aisles.
