Boombeta

Boombeta

A series of artistic proposals and meetings focused on the long-term relations the Graner creation centre has been building up with its closest environment: the La Marina neighbourhood.

The BOOMBETA cycle's activities will centre this year on the idea of laboratory and experimentation, with the Graner and surrounding streets turning into practice, dance and celebration spaces for finding common ground between city residents and artists. Other focuses will be activated, on our surroundings, the history of the neighbourhood and the memory preserved for creating new imageries from dance and the live arts.

The programme will be presented to the neighbourhood’s residents a few days before Sant Joan / Midsummer’s Eve to mark the La Marina de Port big annual festival during an open day at the Graner activated by artists with links to the centre.
