You may call her Izar (basque noun) or Estrella, as you like. Both are the names of the show’s main character, a girl of no more than six years old who is not like the other girls that you have ever met. She has a great talent for the piano although sometimes she would have preferred not to have this gift. Her parents are aware of such potential and have made her work hard, subject to a discipline that has made her a star of interpretation. But Izar is not at all happy. She’d rather be a fleeting star but, instead, the star had to shine every night, perpetually, illuminating the very night. Life, however, can give surprises that will get her lost in an emotional maze. Only another star, a starfish, one of those creatures with the amazing ability to regenerate after a loss, will be able to help her ... All in all this is a story of facing adversity, overcoming loss. The company brings to stage lights, music, masks and some dumb images but of extraordinary power and creativity.
The show is a new proposal by one of the most prestigious national companies in the theater scene for all audiences, a group led by Jokin Oregi who invariably bets on emotion and poetry in shows that would move both children and adults. Estrella has won the Territorio Violeta Festival for the best show and the FETEN (awarded in the framework of the European Theater Fair for Children and Children) in the best scenic space last 2018. In 2018, the company also won the National Theater Award for Children and Youth.
