The network brings together fifteen local, regional and international institutions from Catalonia, Italy and France to share knowledge and exchange experiences, lessons learnt and good practice on time use policies. Another goal is to study the possibility of joint projects and apply pressure for the recognition of these policies on the international agenda.

The relaunch of the network is an opportunity to go further into second generation time policies linked to care, sustainability and the effects of digitalisation, and also to broaden the scope of the original network and include metropolises, regions and cities from around the world.

From now on, the secretariat will be assumed by the Barcelona Time Use Initiative, which has a strategic agreement with Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, Barcelona Provincial Council and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, with the goal of driving time agreements all around Catalonia, improving people’s lives and positioning Catalonia and its municipalities as world leaders in time policies.
