The award seeks to promote and disseminate the work of companies committed to improving time management for their workers to achieve work-life balance, and, at the same time, improve productivity and business competitiveness.

The pandemic has accelerated the digital transformation of companies as it has generated a structural change which society has had to adapt to quickly, for instance with teleworking, which has meant a change in culture, management and busines organisation.

Who can take part?

Businesses and organisations from any sector and based in the city or the metropolitan area can put forward candidacies.

The award recognises projects in four categories, according to their size: micro companies (fewer than 10 workers), small companies (between 10 and 50 workers), medium-sized companies (50 to 250) and large companies (250 or over).

The jury will evaluate the commitment to a balanced use of time within the organisation and its contribution to innovation, progress and awareness of a healthier, more egalitarian and efficient use of time in society.

Winners of previous editions include companies such as Voxel Group, Fundació Joia, Suara Cooperativa, Mercabarna, Most Enginyers and Blueknow.

If necessary, a special mention will be made for a company in the NUST Network (New Social Uses of Time), whose mission over the last 15 years is for more and more companies in the city to promote new initiatives in this sphere. The network currently brings together over 130 businesses and organisations.

Barcelona Time Pact

The award falls within the Time Pact, a city agreement promoted by Barcelona City Council and the city’s social and economic organisations to act jointly to achieve a healthier, more efficient and more equal organisation of social time, helping towards people’s well-being.
