The tourist bus returns with a new route for local people

The city’s tourist bus service will be operating again from 10 July, with a new itinerary available. The ‘Barcelona Panoràmica’ route is aimed at local people and offers a two-hour tour at a reduced price. The new route will be running every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 30 August.

The ‘Barcelona panoràmica’ route starts from the bus stop nearest the sea in Plaça del Portal de la Pau, at the foot of the Columbus monument. The itinerary makes no stops along the way and takes in some of the city’s most significant spots, from the Port Vell to the 22@ district, the Sagrada Família and the Parc de Montjuïc. Buses set off at 10 am, 12 noon, 4 pm, 6 pm and 8 pm, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The route is narrated (available in Catalan and Spanish) and offers historical data and anecdotes for passengers, enabling them to discover such things as which of the city’s public statues is the oldest or why Barcelona was known as ‘Little Manchester’.

Bookings

Passengers are advised to book in advance on the Barcelona Turisme website, at the city’s Tourist Offices or on Hola Barcelona, the TMB mobility services platform for tourists and visitors. It is also possible to buy tickets at the bust stop just before the buses set off, provided there are places still available.
