FiraGran 2023 brings together all services promoting active ageing

FiraGran 2023, the 24th Fair for the Elderly of Catalonia, is on until 28 April. The event is one of Europe’s biggest fairs aimed at senior citizens, with over 350 free activities planned to promote active ageing. One significant addition this year is a municipal stand for the BCN+65 app, an easy and accessible tool offering the latest information and details on the main municipal services and resources for the over-65s, all in one place.

Elderly people approaching the stand can get information on the different municipal services, resources and projects for them, such as Radars, Vincles BCN, Bicis sense Edat, Viure i Conviure and more. The Advisory Board for the Elderly will also have its own space, offering information on its role and the activities it organises.

The City Police and the Barcelona Fire Service are also sharing a stand, offering talks with advice on safety and self-protection for elderly people and focusing on risk prevention and what to do if a fire breaks out, plus tips on citizen safety and safe mobility.

This edition of the fair centres on good practice to guarantee the safety of elderly people. FiraGran 2023 is being held at La Farga in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.
