New joint office for the City Police and the Catalan police to handle all types of denouncement

The joint Citizen Support Office (OAC) for the two police corps is located at C/ Aragó, 332, and has been conceived as a single facility for officers from the City Police and the Catalan police force, the Mossos d’Esquadra, to handle any type of enquiry or denouncement. The new office replaces the former OAC in Plaça de Catalunya, which closed in 2019.

The new joint police office will mean more streamlined procedures and better coordination between the two police corps. Each force will have two officers at the OAC to deal with the public, with a single queue for common incidents such as thefts, material damage or muggings. A translation service will also be available for officers to attend to denouncements and enquiries from tourists or foreign residents. The OAC will also complement the police station for the Eixample district.

The joint office comes in addition to the one in the Barceloneta neighbourhood, which is open all year round and provides special support during the summer months.

Opening times for the joint OAC operated by the City Police and the Mossos d’Esquadra at C/ Aragó, 332.

  • Open 365 days a year
