Funeral wakes and ceremonies resume
As from Monday, 18 May, funeral wakes and ceremonies can once again take place in Barcelona thanks to the lifting of some of the restrictions from stage zero of the lockdown exit process. Up to ten people will be allowed to gather at ceremonies in indoor facilities and up to fifteen in outdoor spaces, as is the case with burials.
Within the context of the health emergency, the maximum cost of a basic funeral service is still fixed at 2,450 euros including VAT.
In the final stages of the lockdown exit process, Cementiris de Barcelona will also start the farewell ceremonies for families who have lost a loved one during the emergency and who have not been able to say goodbye to them properly.
