Call for the state to maintain its commitment to La Sagrera and Sant Andreu Comtal
Work at the station in La Sagrera continues. The City Council has reminded the central government of the need to stick to its commitment on the rail infrastructure and follow the building of the Sant Andreu Comtal station through.
Work on the drainage system in Rambla del Prim and the foundation slabs for the station in La Sagrera continues, in keeping with the commitment by the Ministry of Public Works, which has announced the start of construction work on the approaches to the rail infrastructure. The station, due for completion in 2020, will mean greater connections between neighbourhoods which have been affected in terms of mobility and accessibility during the construction work.
New tender for the Sant Andreu Comtal station
The Ministry of Public Works has announced it is to offer the project to build the Sant Andreu Comtal station out to tender again. The station is a key infrastructure in connecting with the Besòs neighbourhoods.
Extension to the Ronda Litoral
The section of the Ronda Litoral ring road between El Morrot and the port is to be extended, in line with the proposal by the City Council. The ministry has confirmed that the current infrastructure will get new local lanes, complementing the fast approach route for the city.
