Gràcia’s local festival adapts to prevent Covid-19

Work is currently being done with the Fundació Festa Major de Gràcia to define the changes needed. These will be addressed in a meeting between organisers and councillors on Monday 8 June. The initial proposal sets out the following measures:

  • All activities must comply with measures on physical distancing and public health recommendations. Measures will therefore include controls on capacity, disinfection of spaces, activities with appointments and specific signage with the preventive measures.
  • Streets may be decorated with symbolic overhead elements, but there can be no decorations on the ground and no gateways, making it easier for people to access streets. No stages can be set up for the same reason.
  • Activities must finish by 11 pm and no parties, dances or concerts are allowed at night or in the early hours.
  • The opening speech will be read from an indoor venue with a limited capacity and streamed live on 14 August.
