Markets take another step in their digitisation process.
The Barcelona Municipal Institute of Markets (IMMB) has been working with the Municipal Institute of Information Technology (IMI) over the last few months to integrate its IT systems within Barcelona City Council’s corporate IT services, with a view to making headway with the digitisation and connectivity of the city’s markets.
This digitisation process in the markets is having repercussions on both their management and revitalisation.
On one hand, this management model will provide facilities for the IMMB, for workers in networking, transparency and interoperability and for stallholders in processing files and subsidies, among other things,
while on the other hand, the new systems will help to boost initiatives like the loyalty card or online sales.
A coordinated systems plan is currently being implemented in close cooperation with the IMI.
