The Espai Democràcia i Convivència platform is organising a demonstration on Sunday 15 April, setting off from Pl. Espanya at 12.30 pm.

Disruptions to public transport and Bicing

  • Buses: from 11 am to 4 pm, the following services may be seriously disrupted: D20, D40, H12, H14, H16, V7, V11, V13, 13, 21, 24, 41, 46, 50, 55, 59, 65, 79, 91, 109, 120, 121 and 150.

Disruptions to traffic

Traffic circulation will be restricted in Av. Paral·lel, from Pl. Espanya as far as Pl. Drassanes, from 8 am to 5 pm. As an alternative, traffic will be redirected via Montjuïc.

Given the large number of coaches expected to bring people from outside Barcelona, various street sections have been selected where parking will be allowed exceptionally throughout the day on 15 April. Coaches parking in these sections must leave room for pedestrians at all times, as well as leaving bus stops and licensed vehicle entrances clear. They must also remain parked in the same place until they leave after the demonstration.

Mobility recommendations

  • Allow more time to make journeys.
  • Use the metro to get to Pl. Espanya and Av. Paral·lel, particularly the Drassanes and Tarragona stops (L3) and the Rocafort and Urgell stops (L1). From 11 am to 4 pm, extra services will be operating on the L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5 lines, with trains roughly every 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Use underground public transport (metro, FGC and Renfe) to get around the city.

Prevention recommendations

  • Pay attention to official event information and transport recommendations.
  • Always carry ID.
  • Check where the nearest emergency exit routes are.
  • If with children, carry them or hold their hands. Make sure they are identified and have contact details.
  • Don’t climb railings or other unstable elements.
  • If going with others, agree beforehand on a meeting point in case you get separated or lost.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear which protects your toes. Take drinking water with you.
  • If you need to communicate with others, use text messages and avoid making calls.
  • Once the event finishes, be patient and leave in an orderly fashion.
  • If an incident occurs, keep calm and follow the instructions given by the emergency services.
  • Remember the number for the emergency services is 112.
