Two projects have already been completed, at the municipal grounds of Camp de l’Àliga and Camp del Carmel. The rest should be carried out in two groups: the first between July and August and the second between August and September. The invitation to tender for the work should be announced during the first quarter of the year.

The bulk of the work involves renewing artificial turf at these grounds, all of which have turf which was installed over 12 years ago. Other work includes a revamp to the changing rooms at the football ground at the CEM Horta and a structural survey of the stands at the Guinardó ground.

Technical analyses showed the need for improvements to grounds in six city districts. There are 13 pitches which need work, at ten sports facilities:

• Ten football pitches for 11-a-side
• Two football pitches for 7-a-side
• One football pitch for 5-a-side

The thirteen facilities, by district

• District of Sants-Montjuïc: Camp Municipal de Futbol La Bàscula
• District of Sarrià – Sant Gervasi: Camp Municipal de Futbol Vallvidrera
• District of Gràcia: Camp Municipal de Futbol Nou Sardenya and Camp Municipal de Futbol l’Àliga (already completed)
• District of Nou Barris: Camp Municipal de Futbol Porta
• District of Sant Andreu: Camp Municipal de Futbol Bon Pastor and Camp Municipal de Futbol Trinitat Vella
• District of Sant Martí: Camp Municipal de Futbol Poblenou – Agapito Fernández, Camp Municipal de Futbol Júpiter and Camp Municipal de Futbol Andrade – Sant Martí

Besides the change of turf, the project will also be used to install American football markings on two pitches at the Camp de Futbol Municipal Parc Catalana. This will bring the number of multi-purpose pitches offering the possibility for this sport to three.

In addition to these thirteen projects, work is also planned at the Camp de Futbol Narcís Sala and the municipal football pitches at CEM Horta and Guinardó.
