Special permission granted for terraces will remain valid until 31 December 2021.

Extensions to terraces on road surfaces

Of over three thousand applications approved to date, two out of three were for extensions and just over half the projects have been set up on road surfaces.

In all, over 23,000 square metres of space has been freed up which was previously used by private vehicles.

• In person at a Citizen Help and Information Office.
• Through sectoral entities, shopping districts and retailers’ associations.

Safe and accessible terraces

A test is under way to assess the use of urban elements, such as a wooden platform for tables and chairs which adapts terraces on road surfaces, guaranteeing safety and helping with accessibility.

The goal is for the platforms to be introduced in the spring.
