The renewed section covers an area of 5,900 square metres, with a garden that now connects C/ Europa and C/ Numància. This provides continuity for walking routes crossing the new section in C/ Can Senglar and improves the connections with two main roads: Av. Diagonal and C/ Numància. It also means better connections with the different shopping hubs and three schools in the district.

The work cost approximately 1.6 million euros and included the new road surface in C/ Can Senglar and its connection with C/ Numància.

A safe place for strolling, playing and spending time in

The newly created area features a central square, with a children’s play area, surrounded by railings and wooden seating sections. The green area around this space covers a space of 1,500 square metres and include 37 new trees.

The garden is illuminated according to gender perspective criteria, to avoid dark spots, and features highly efficient LED lighting. The new space also includes benches, urban furniture and new litter bins.
