The series of workshops with different types of companies are aimed at making the city able to generate more scale-ups, with models for consistent annual growth, and new unicorn companies, worth over a billion dollars. This will help create more quality jobs and more wealth for the city.

More working sessions are planned in the coming months, in this case with SMEs, professionals, clusters, science and technology parks and research and investigation institutes, the goal being to start projects for the economic recovery which are in line with sustainable digital development in the city over the next few years.

The city currently has 86 scale-ups, which have generated 9,100 jobs between them since 2018. The sectors with the most are health, food and drink, transport and home products and services. In terms of unicorns, the city has two, Glovo and Wallabox, while a further fourteen are close to joining them, such as Travelperk, Socialpoint, Wallapop and Belvo.
