Open playgrounds all summerSeveral playgrounds at publicly operated schools and municipal nursery schools will be open for local people to use from 26 June to 31 August, offering morning and afternoon opening times. Each district in the city will have at least one open playground.
The municipal programme “School playgrounds open to the neighbourhood” offers members of the public the use of these outdoor facilities at publicly operated schools, outside classroom hours and during the holidays. Each playground provides a monitoring service to open and close the facilities at the established times and help ensure they are used well, as places where people can participate, interact and share recreational time with others.
Open playgrounds at nursery schools too
The usual open playgrounds are being joined by some at municipal nursery schools this year, in this case for children up to the age of 6 and their families. Users can enjoy corners with stories for early childhood, as well as the existing recreational elements at the playgrounds such as sandpits and movement spaces etc.
