Small wheels raise awareness of Fragile X Syndrome!
The Catalan Fragile X Syndrome Association and Col·legi La Salle Gràcia are organising the 5th Small Wheel Stroll on February 18 at 11 am. The route will begin at Plaça del Nord, at the entrance to La Salle. Around 250 people are expected to attend, bringing along their non-motorised vehicles for a good cause: raising awareness of Fragile X Syndrome (FXS).
This 5th edition of the Small Wheel Stroll will strike a perfect balance between entertainment, sport and solidarity. For several years adults and children have gotten together on this day to bring attention to this minor disease that is still a mystery to a large part of the population. The stroll takes place along the streets of Gràcia and is organised by various entities that all contribute to making the day a success. These include the Barcelona Skaters’ Association, which guides the group through the neighbourhood, as well as Teixint Connexions, La Nau Espacial, Kabum and Xino Xano, who will spice up the rest of the morning with workshops and activities once everyone has arrived at the school courtyard.
The price is 3 euros for children under 7 and 5 euros for all other participants. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketea or at the Salle de Gràcia on Sunday February 18.
