Subsidy call to strengthen the social and solidarity economy

The 9th edition of the ‘Enfortim’ subsidy call has 900,000 euros to drive initiatives that help consolidate the social and solidarity economy. The application period is open from 15 April to 14 May, with two information sessions on 24 and 29 April.

Projects receiving subsidies must foster activities of public or social interest for the city of Barcelona and must be aimed at helping achieve the goals of the 2030 Strategy, as well as the Barcelona Social and Solidarity Economy Plan 2024-2027. The subsidy call is being organised on a competitive basis.

Projects seeking subsidies must start in 2025 and last a maximum of 12 months. Subsidies may cover up to 80% of the overall project cost.

The call is has two areas (strengthening and inter-cooperation), each with three categories. The maximum amount for subsidies varies in each case:

Strengthening

  • Creation of new cooperatives and transformation of other preexisting legally constituted organisations into cooperatives. Up to €6,000.
  • Business consolidation measures and scalability of SSE initiatives to strengthen their economic feasibility, as well as gearing this consolidation to the 2030 Agreement and Strategy and the strategic goals of the Social and Solidarity Economy Plan 2024-2027. Up to €9,000.
  • Digitalisation: actions linked to the implementation of digitalisation processes for the strengthening of SSE businesses and organisations. Up to €9,000.

Inter-cooperation

  • Inter-cooperation at secondary or top level: projects promoted by social and solidarity economy organisations or secondary level ethical finance or higher or aimed at member organisations. Up to €25,000.
  • Inter-cooperation actions to create and/or strengthen cooperative ecosystems and/or SSE clusters in the city of Barcelona and other inter-cooperation actions promoted by SSE organisations or companies. Up to €25,000.
  • Implementation projects and inter-cooperation actions for the development of city projects in the 2030 Strategy. Up to €18,000.

Two information sessions are being held to clear up any doubts on the call on Thursday 24 April and Tuesday 29 April. Advance registration is required.
