Open playgrounds as places to meet

The initiative aims to boost the educational use of school playgrounds outside of school hours, benefitting children, young people, families and adults in general, and promoting new social spaces for citizens to interact in. The process fosters values of respect, cooperation, effort and responsibility among children and young people, through shared play. This way, the programme opens up schools to neighbourhoods and helps give neighbourhood spaces more of an educational use.
