Rambling and discovering unusual spots

Various guided routes have been prepared to introduce people to little-known spots in and around La Rambla. Guided by a historian, the ‘Ramblejant’ itinerary offers a route which starts at the Canaletes fountain and goes as far as Rambla de Mar, delving into an original Rambla brimming with art, unique buildings and hidden stories.

Another route is ‘La Rambla més captivadora’, offering a chance to rediscover the area through the eyes of illustrious locals and travellers who were captivated by it, such as the Empress Sissí, Albert Einstein, García Lorca, Joan Miró, Pitarra and Ocaña.

Cultural activities

Floral arts workshops, drawing classes by the Escola Massana on caricatures and portraits, and poetry readings in the street all stand out. There will also be discount vouchers for the MACBA and guided tours of the Ateneu Barcelonès and the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona.

Gastronomy

There’s a chance to take part in a show cooking session on rice, discover Turkish cuisine with Ismael Prados and enjoy an afternoon cup of hot chocolate sauce with xurros in the Bosc de les Fades bar at the Barcelona Wax Museum. Various hotels will also be offering a programme combining a gastronomic supper and overnight accommodation.

Music

Elsewhere, you can enjoy a jazz concert, watch a flamenco show in Plaça Reial, attend flamenco or Zumba classes and more.
