Barcelona Award to the Innovative Company in Organisation and Time Use

The crisis generated by Covid-19 has posed us with a different challenge when it comes to organising ourselves and organising our use of time. The production network has had to rethink its working methods and spaces, promoting policies and innovative work time management measures that may be candidates for the award.

This 9th edition seeks to recognise, promote and disseminate the work of companies and organisations backing new ways of time-use management linked to time and space flexibility (teleworking), care and co-responsibility, the rationalisation of schedules and all those proposals that allow for a better work-life balance. The jury, made up of experts and representatives from relevant economic, business, commerce, unions and academic fields in the city, will recognise companies according to their category:

  • MICRO, Companies with fewer than 10 workers.
  • SMALL, Companies with between 10 and 50 workers.
  • MEDIUM, Companies with between 50 and 250 workers.
  • LARGE, Companies with over 250 workers.

In addition, where appropriate there will be a special mention to a company from the NUST Network (New Social Uses of Time).

You can apply if your organisation has any good practice or measures relating to gender co-responsibility, work-life balance, teleworking and organisational change, right to digital disconnection, time compression, lengthening of maternity and paternity leave, reduction of working time with equal pay, healthy working hours and meals, diversity management, etc. See the presentation videos for the 2019 award-winning initiatives here.

The submission period for proposals is from 1 to 30 November. The procedure is easily done through the Procedures Portal. For more information, see the award website.
