The document signed between the organising body of Mobile World Congress Barcelona, GSMA and the institutions making up the Barcelona Mobile World Capital Foundation (Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism and Fira Barcelona) reaffirms all stakeholders’ commitment to keep working together to hold the next edition of the MWC in 2021 and extend the contract by an extra year until 2024. The agreement also means all parties agree not to make any claims deriving from the cancellation of this year’s event.

MWC Barcelona generates an economic impact estimated at around 500 million euros and every year brings together over 2,400 companies and more than 100,000 visitors from all over the world.
