The concert by Moliner culminates the resumption of cultural and leisure activities at facilities around Montjuïc, which already offered a test concert by Love of Lesbian at the Palau Sant Jordi, as well as concerts by Sidecar and Carlos Sadness at the Sant Jordi Club.

Since the end of the lockdown, cultural and sports activities around the Olympic Ring have adopted the health requirements at all times. The complex was used for the Cruïlla XXS festival in the summer of 2020, and since January 2021 there have been cultural and sports events such as Dansa Ara and the Indoor Athletics Championship. In all, the Olympic facilities have provided over 30,000 safe experiences for people during this time.

Stacks of music this summer

Cultural industries represent one of the sectors hit hardest by the economic consequences of the pandemic, particularly in terms of organising concerts and festivals. Given the situation, the City Council and Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (BSM) have set up a new line or subsidies, with 500,000 euros available to help reduce operating costs for those organising large-scale concerts. The subsidy call is open until 1 June.
